Meet the lady herself

As a musician you quickly learn a lot about the importance of listening.

Why am I telling you this? Well, because it has a lot to do with how I developed my philosophy of developmental coaching and business growth. During my years spent as a professional flautist, including both teaching and performing, I saw first-hand what could be achieved through empathy, rapport and a willingness to listen.

This certainly stood me in good stead when I set up a sales and marketing company and eventually moved into sales training. I worked with a variety of business owners and staff, supporting them in achieving substantial growth in their organisations. I saw some outstanding results during this period… but I still felt something was missing.

It soon became clear that I was missing the kind of engagement and rapport-building that came with being part of an orchestra. Although it was possible to improve an organisation’s performance by developing its staff’s skillset, lasting change could never happen without digging much deeper.

I wanted to explore how this could be put into practice. I studied Neuro-linguistic Programming, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Integrative Counselling Psychotherapy, eventually qualifying as a psychotherapeutic practitioner. I then went on to graduate with a Masters Degree in Leadership, Executive Business Coaching and Mentoring.

We guide towards transformation at a fundamental level. Our tools and methodologies have proven extremely powerful, but they remain just that – tools. It’s been demonstrated to me over and over again that the most important elements of supporting others in their career advancement are empathy, passion and experience: the things we bring to each and every session we undertake.
